The CEO Who Raised Drug Prices
It takes billions and billions of dollars to advance medicine. It's not merely a process of research and development. Pills have to be tested. They have to go through drug trials. Some of them don't make it. The ones that do have to be approved by the FDA, and not all will be approved. This is a very long pipeline that takes years. I can't say whether or not a massive increase in the price was warranted, but I am sure the CEO of that company was in a better position to say than the liberals who are protesting him.

Re: Mother who fled Syria with five children
Since the father was killed as an ISIS fighter, I have reason to doubt these kids' loyalties. How do you know they won't try to avenge their father in 5-10 years with the help of pressure cookers?
About the mother: Are we supposed to believe the mother didn't know what ISIS was before she left? Or that she somehow deserves better because ISIS didn't live up to her expectations? Because they're losing?
She and the five children gave material support to terrorism. This isn't like a French family returning to France during the Napoleon era and providing support to the French army. Most armies follow laws. This is ISIS. They don't follow laws. They're mass murderers. They post beheading videos and write LOL when they're done.
What's more - there are too many people willing to take sob stories like this at their word. You would think in the internet age that people would learn to take news on the internet at a grain of salt. Upon thorough investigation, we may learn any of the following:
We should find out exactly what the five supposedly innocent children did during their time in Syria before making any decisions on them.

- The mother or the kids may have been cheering in one of these execution videos.
We should find out exactly what the five supposedly innocent children did during their time in Syria before making any decisions on them.

Latest Post - August
This month, I posted the only interactive Republican primary map on the internet. That is, this is the only map on the internet where you can click on a state and change the winner of that state - and have the delegate totals recalculated. Other websites have, or will have, delegate counters but those are not interactive.
There are six finalist candidates, and you can change those finalists if you think another candidate belongs there. For instance, I have been switching between Rubio and Carson. The states themselves were traced using a map. This was a lot of effort, actually. The order of the six finalists (left to right) also determines how delegates will be allocated to runner-ups. That means if you award a state to Bush, but Trump and Walker are the leftmost finalists, then Bush will gain the most delegates from that state, followed next by Trump and Walker. The #5 and #6 candidates (on the right) would, generally, only pick up delegates if they're awarded a state.
The table at the bottom is arranged in order of voting. So Iowa is listed first, New Hampshire second, and so on. Each candidate has two columns. The left column represents pledged delegates, while the right column represents unpledged delegates, who are generally elected officials and party leaders.

Black Crimes Matter
For FBI statistics, a final report isn't yet available for 2014, so I'll use 2013. The FBI has data for 14,132 homicides. As you can see from that URL, 5,375 offenders were African-American and 4,396 were white (more than 4,000 were unknown). According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 13.2% of Americans are black and 77.7% were white in 2013. It is a statistical megaton that there are 5.8 times as many whites, yet whites commit fewer homicides overall.
Another table, Table 6, offers data for situations where both the offender's and victim's race were known. Long story short, 409 black offenders killed whites, while only 189 whites killed blacks. So that myth going around NeoGAF that "whites killed more blacks" is nonsense. And I believe even the smaller figure includes "justifiable" homicides, i.e. law enforcement.
Here is some simple algebra.
White offenders: 4,396 ÷ 77.7 = 56.6 homicides per basis point.
Black offenders: 5,375 ÷ 13.2 = 407.2 homicides per basis point.
Divide the two, 407.2 by 56.6, and you'll learn there are 7.19 times as many homicides per African-American in this country than per white. If politicians had a desperate need to take guns away from one segment of the population, I think this tells you where to look.

I am, right now, watching Fox News showing the video of the "Pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon" march in Minnesota. Does anybody seriously think that isn't inciting violence?

A 2011 Pew Research survey on muslims in America found that 16% of foreign-born US muslims said suicide bombing can be "often/sometimes" justified and 11% of foreign-born muslims in the USA had a favorable view of Al Qaeda. 40% of foreign-born US muslims felt there was a "great deal / fair amount" of support for extremism among muslims in the United States.
In 2013, the FBI had supplemental data on 14,132 homicides in the United States. For those whose the offender's race were known, 52.4% were African American. That means a numerical majority of homicides in the United States were committed by a minority group representing 12% of the population.
The labor force participation rate has fallen from 65.7% to 62.8% over Obama's presidency. This means that from 2009 to 2014, 6.9 million fewer Americans have been looking for work.

Now Having Said that, on Christie...
The media is angry at Christie today because a county prosecutor (Barlyn), fired, alleges that Christie or Christie's administration fired him on political grounds. I am well read on the specifics of this case, and I can tell you this is up and away one of the most frivolous accusations imaginable.
I would guess that the prosecutor was fired because he filed a frivolous 43-count indictment against a local sheriff (Trout) and two deputies. Trout was accused of hiring a staff member and issuing credentials without performing a background check. As if.
In fact, it is a governor's and an attorney general's responsibility to safeguard citizens from frivolous criminal charges. Christie's actions here were correct, admirable, possibly even heroic.
The fact that Trout is supposedly a Christie supporter is not relevant.
A 43-count indictment should be filed against international drug traffickers, lifelong criminals, or persons who have committed horrific crimes. Allegedly hiring someone without a background check is not a serious offense. It may well be illegal. But Barlyn's judgment was horrendous and it would have been a mistake for Christie's administration to leave such a person in office. Barlyn's goal was probably to use the 43 counts to secure a plea offer and assume to himself credit for putting an elected official in prison for a very long time.
Barlyn lost his job. He had his day in the news. This is not someone whom you should feel sorry for.

MSNBC's Unbelievable Bias on ISIS
All liberals do, day and night, is complain that Fox News is slanted towards the right.
Yesterday, ISIS released a video showing its hostage, a Jordanian pilot, was burned alive. Jordan responded by executing two militants in its custody.
MSNBC is not even running this story on its top 10 of news stories online.
By contrast, it is the leading story on the BBC. CBS has four stories on ISIS tragedies on the front page of its website. It is on the front page of The New York Times, which also has an op-ed on the subject. It is story #2 on CNN, second only to a plane crash in Taiwan. It is on the front page of ABC News.
Nowhere on MSNBC. Let's put it this way. A search of Google News for "ISIS" shows up zero results from today for MSNBC, whereas it has 20 results for NBC News, a separate news organization.
What stories are MSNBC running? How a democratic nomination supposedly sailed through the Senate. How Hillary supposedly would have been a great supreme court justice (in spite of having never worked as a solicitor, a judge, or even a judicial law clerk).
