No to Chris Christie for President

Republicans can be tough on crime without electing the jail keeper.  Mr. Christie came to prominence as a federal prosecutor in New Jersey during the middle of the last decade.  He prosecuted the Hudson County executive, Robert Janiszewski (D).  He prosecuted the Essex County executive, James Treffinger (R).  He prosecuted the democratic leader, John Lynch, Jr., and Newark mayor Sharpe James (D).  He prosecuted more than 100 public officials.

I feel an important topic is the overreach of prosecutors.  Society needs prosecutors.  John Ashcroft, for instance, was a great prosecutor.  But too often, in 2015 America, prosecutors are using their incredible power to target people and to make a name for themselves.  I am more impressed by a prosecutor who knows when not to prosecute a case than someone who gets their name in the newspapers by putting an elected official in prison.

A county executive should be able to award a contract to the most capable firm without fear that he might spend 10 years in federal prison if he later accepts a campaign contribution from them.  But that is the world that prosecutors such as Christie have created.  A mayor, or a public official should be able to appoint qualified professionals to fill job openings, without worrying they will spend 5 - 10 years in federal prison for "creating a no-show job" or "rewarding a crony."

A well-known New Jersey columnist, Paul Mulshine, wrote that Christie had "better hope he doesn't face a prosecutor as ambitious as he once was."  I feel that prosecutorial overreach should be a much more important topic for this country than police cases like Ferguson.

Conservatives support an originalist interpretation of the U.S. Constitution.  It is no stretch to look at the original intent of other laws as well.  America passed laws against political corruption, but the goal was to prevent Tammany Hall.  The goal was not to put a public official in prison because he gave his friend a job as a barber at a state hospital.

More on Economic Modeling

I'll take a vacation from my vacation to comment on this NeoGAF thread that I've been seeing today.  And I actually want to start by thanking the people who have linked here.  Now having said that, I saw the thread yesterday or the day before and I was amazed by the number of people who have probably never studied economics who claim to know more than everyone else. 

One poster claims that I'm treating aggregate supply and GDP like they're the same thing.  They're not.  The long-term aggregate supply curve (RE-AS) is vertical and it's not just the supply-siders who have been saying this.

I'll quote a prominent economist, Professor Farrokh Langdana at Rutgers.  When he says Y0, he's referring to the starting rate of GDP growth:

"Remember that Keyenesian discretionary fiscal and monetary policies have no effect on real GDP growth or employment in a classical-type model.  In fact, demand-side stabilization, the mainstay of Keynesian policy, is neutral to real variables and affects only nominal variables such as inflation and nominal wages....  Against this new backdrop, if Y0 is indeed some recessionary low rate of growth, how can GDP and employment be stimulated if expansionary fiscal and monetary policies have no effect?  Since shifting the aggregate demand affects only inflation, leaving Y0 unchanged, clearly the only viable policy option would be to shift the aggregate supply to the right to increase GDP growth."

The fact of a vertical long-term aggregate supply curve is the reason why the supply-siders have the right interpretation of policy.

On a different topic, a NeoGAF poster asked if the population model took into effect "the fact that people die."  At 0.6% growth per year for 6,000 years, the human race would have a population in the quadrillions (see Preamble post).  Yes, this model takes into account the fact that people die.

The Truth about Selma

The media - including of all people Maureen Dowd - is complaining to some extent because Selma portrays Lyndon Johnson as an obstacle to the civil rights movement.  The truth is that all of the commentators, both pro-MLK and pro-LBJ, are wrong.  Martin Luther King Jr. was a phony, easily one of the most over-rated persons in American history, possibly in world history.

The reason the film attacks Lyndon Johnson is because he was a critic of Martin Luther King, Jr.  He called MLK a hypocritical preacher, no doubt a reference to FBI tape recordings wherein MLK was tape-recorded sleeping with women who were not his wife. 

He told a reporter, "*******it, if you could only hear what that hypocritical preacher does sexually." 

Jacqueline Kennedy said that Martin Luther King Jr. was tape-recorded planning a sort of sex party with men and women during the so-called march on Washington D.C.  One of MLK's closest associates, Ralph Abernathy, said that MLK used church donations to have sex parties, hired white prostitutes, and then beat the white prostitutes.

Lest anyone forget, it is still illegal in the United States to solicit prostitution.

What would have happened if a white preacher had behaved in this manner in his private life?  He would have been reviled, ridiculed, and isolated.  Forget Martin Luther King, Jr.  Lyndon Johnson did more for civil rights than MLK ever did.

Washington Post Decries Obama Position on Iran

The Washington Post had a compelling argument this morning, saying that Obama's reluctance to add sanctions against Iran makes little sense.  Obama has said he would veto any sanctions were passed by the Congress.  These sanctions are being pushed, of all people, by Menendez.  The Washington Post notes that one of its own contributors is currently being held without legal counsel in Iran, for 170+ days now.  Thus, the Iranians do not hesitate to use "a human pawn" as a negotiating peace.

Obama has been a horrific negotiator on all matters foreign policy.  He traded 3 Cuban spies, including murderers, for one US prisoner.  He traded five terrorists for one US soldier.  And his position on Guantanamo Bay would have the effect of letting terrorists out of prison with less years logged than criminals who committed similar crimes (i.e. murderers) in the United States.

What does Obama think these Guantanamo Bay terrorists plan to do if they make it back to their home countries?  Sell brownies?  Open an auto repair shop?  Become electricians?  Wikipedia has a full article full of Guantanamo Bay terrorists who were released, who went straight back to the battle field. 

Obama admitted there was less than a 50/50 chance of a nuclear deal with Iran.  The sanctions proposed by Congress would only kick in if Iran failed to accept an agreement by the June 30th deadline in the talks.  Iran, in the meantime, has started work on two new reactors.  The State Department responded by making excuses for Iran, saying those projects are not barred by UN resolutions.  As if. 

Mind you that the Washington Post is basically a Democratic Party newspaper and Menendez is a Democratic Senator.

Firing Squad for 6 Drug Offenders in Indonesia

I'm not exactly jumping up and down saying I think this is a great policy.  But think about Mexico and the gang violence south of the border.  Hundreds or even thousands of people have died as a result of gang warfare and intimidation.  Wikipedia has an article on the Mexican Drug War, and the article says the official death toll of the war is at least 60,000.  Some estimates put the actual figure at more than 120,000, with tens of thousands missing. 

I don't necessarily think that firing squads are a bad idea for drug gangs.  The death penalty makes criminals want to flee the country, and that's exactly what we want.  We want the gangs to flee. 

From an Old Testament perspective, capital punishment is appropriate for a person convicted of murder.  The problem with these drug cases is that the gangs are at an undeclared state of war with their own country.  They're not just drug cartels; they're murder cartels.

According to CNN, Indonesia plans to execute 6 drug offenders by firing squad.  For instance, one of the offenders was caught with "13 kilograms of cocaine" at Jakarta airport.  Two other offenders were caught with 8 kilograms of heroin.  Indonesia has very strict drug laws.  Five of the death row inmates are foreigners, for instance from places like Brazil.  Some of these countries don't apply capital punishment, so there have naturally been appeals for clemency from some of these countries.

The Indonesian government even had a press conference to show the offenders to the media.  There's a picture of the convict at a press conference, standing behind a police officer with a submachine gun pointed at him. 

From my perspective, society should aim to stop drug abuse.  My bigger concern is that these drug gangs are flagrant offenders, even worse than the ones pictured in movies like The Dark Knight.  They kill people.  They kidnap people.  They shoot at police.  And they're able to get away with this because the drug business is very profitable for some of them.  So while I don't necessarily think the death penalty is the answer, it's hard for me to say that Indonesia is sending the wrong message.  This time.

IronKnuckle on Current Events

Yes, Hollywood glamorizes violence.  I saw a movie this evening and it's an ideal example. In Crank (2006), Jason Statham walks into a convenience store, pulls a clerk across the counter and points a gun at her. He later goes into an alley and shoots someone in the back of the head. He drives a car through a mall while being chased through police, then somersaults his vehicle up a moving escalator. He points a gun at random hospital staff during an escape scene. He shoots at officers (or security) in the hospital. He steals a police motorcycle. He nearly shoots and nearly gets shot by a room full of gangsters. The movie glorifies drug abuse. He even shoots Polly. And all of this happens in the first half of the movie.  The media makes a great deal about the murder rate in America and how - they feel - guns are to blame. But guns have been around for hundreds of years, and mass murders are largely a 20th and 21st century occurrence.

Bitcoin's value has crashed in the past few days. I personally visited the Bitcoin Center in New York City last year and had an "interesting" conversation with staff there. The Bitcoin Center's staff insisted without the slightest hint of sarcasm that bitcoin was "more reliable in value than the US dollar." And yet, at the same time, they said that bitcoin can be so volatile that people were "jumping off buildings" when things went bad. I think bitcoin is probably more dependable than Zimbabwe's currency, but that's probably about it. I would like to think that most people understand the risk and volatility entailed with bitcoin, but people still use it.

You probably read about the ISIS supporter who was arrested in Ohio yesterday. Christopher Lee Cornell recently converted to Islam, after his father had entertained muslim sympathies. And just like that, he was planning to kill people. Rest assured, there is still some liberal out there thinking of a twitter hash tag like #illridewithyou to show solidarity with muslims.

NeoGAF posters are assuring everyone that there's "no way" Mitt Romney would run for President again. Like they would know. Meanwhile, Governor Romney is attending the Republican National Committee meeting on the USS Midway in San Diego. He is working to reorganize his campaign structure. Romney is on top of the polls in Iowa. He is, in fact, polling 7 points ahead of Jeb Bush. People tend to forget that Richard Nixon lost an election to John F. Kennedy. Ronald Reagan ran more than once, as did George H. W. Bush. Besides, what's wrong with having more choices?

CBS News reported that President Obama's approval rating rose from 39% in October to 46% now. What they failed to mention is that CBS News never reported on Obama's approval ratings when they were falling in the first place.

IronKnuckle on Politics Pt.2

J.K. Rowling is the latest in a series of opportunists who aim to paint themselves as "above the fray" by saying nice things about muslims after Islamic extremists shoot up a magazine.  Last month, it was the Australians.  After a radical muslim held hostages at a Sydney café and eventually killed people, liberals started a hashtag #illridewithyou.  Why didn't they start a hashtag "don't come to our country and take hostages."  The bad guy here is the radical extremist, not Rupert Murdoch.

It's remarkable that Angela Merkel, a German, would have so much in common with Neville Chamberlain, who caved against the Germans before World War II.  As anti-muslim protests sweep her own country, she insists vainly that these protesters harbor hatred in their hearts.  As if.  This is a week after 3 muslims shot up a magazine in Paris.  These protesters are not committing acts of violence.  They are protesting against immigrants who are prone to committing acts of violence while contributing nothing to society.  The same day as the attack, I predicted on this blog that Merkel would say something like this. 


MSNBC is complaining about the Republican position on immigration.  With 6.9 million fewer people in the workforce, you would think the liberals would take a breather and consider the fallacy of their immigration position.  Another half million Mexican immigrants will not help find jobs for those 6.9 million people.  What's more, there's a war going on in Mexico.  Dozens of school children were kidnapped and are presumed dead. 

And then there's Mark Zuckerberg at Facebook.  Zuckerberg is a huge supporter of legalized immigration in the name of high-tech jobs.  If he needs technical expertise, one sure-fire way to find it is for Facebook to pay top-grade for technical talent.  I have my own theory on Zuckerberg though.  He seems to believe a myth that Harvard graduates are overwhelmingly more intelligent than everyone else.  They may have smarter people than a lot of schools.  But they also have a lot more money.  I worry that Zuckerberg's "pro-immigration" moves have more to do with protecting the myth of his own exceptionalism than in bringing talent to Facebook.

Atlanta's fire department chief, Kevin Cochran, has been fired for publishing a book that denounces homosexual behavior as immoral.  Atlanta's mayor, Kasim Reed, claims the reason for the termination is the fire chief didn't "seek approval" from city hall before writing the book.  This is 21st century America and the fact is that you do not need approval from Atlanta's city hall to exercise your first amendment right to free speech.  Between the fire chief and his LGBT opponents, only the dismissed fire chief has a realistic chance of setting foot in heaven.

Prepare to Have Your Mind Blown Pt.2

In this post, I'll follow up on why expanding aggregate supply is the only way to grow GDP. 

Looking again at the aggregate demand option, I've provided a red arrow.  This red arrow shows the shift in aggregate demand from AD1 to AD2.  AD2 is represented in orange.  You'll notice that a shift "up" or "right" actually mean the same thing, because AD1 is shifting outwards to AD2.  Equilibrium in the economy moves from (Y1, P1) to (Y1, P2). 


As you can see, there is no change in GDP.  There is only an increase in prices.  The reason is that the long run aggregate supply curve is vertical.  RE-AS is the rational expectations AS curve, also known as the new classical aggregate supply curve. 

Next it's time for the supply side option:


You've expanded aggregate supply in the economy.  As a result, RE-AS shifts rightward.  The economy moves from (Y1, P1) to (Y2, P2), and I have circled in red the final equilibrium.  As a result, GDP is higher.  You'll also notice the price level has dropped.

Prepare To Have Your Mind Blown

Using this graph, how do you increase Y (GDP)?  There's one way, and only one way.


What happens if you increase aggregate demand?  Your price level (inflation) increases from P1 to P2, but there is no change to GDP because RE-AS is vertical at Y1.

What happens if you increase aggregate supply?  Your GDP increases from Y1 to Y2 (RE-AS shifts rightwards), without an increase in the price level.

IronKnuckle on Politics

Mitt Romney is talking about running for President.  The liberal media never hesitated to remind you - again and again and again - that Mitt Romney is a mormon candidate and the mormons have a history of polygamy.  Here's something you didn't know.  President Obama's father was asked to leave Harvard because the university discovered he was trying to marry a second wife without even divorcing the first one (he had two wives at the same time, and later married a third). 

President Obama has proposed free community college to all Americans.  He says this would cost $60 billion over 10 years.  Well, using Politico's own figures, I calculated a cost of $20 billion a year, or $200 billion over 10 years.  It's hysterically expensive.  In addition, higher education is notorious for inflationary spending.  They never cut budgets.  They never stop building new buildings.  They never cut prices. 

The "Torture Memo" story is being pushed by a nonprofit organization, Human Rights Watch.  Human Rights Watch is being sponsored by a $100 million, 10-year donation from George Soros, a prominent liberal supporter and critic of Israel.  Its director, Kenneth Roth, pays himself $520,000 a year to talk about the importance of ending poverty.  I'm not sure that he understands what the words "not for profit" mean.  Human Rights Watch has been criticized by its own founder for losing context in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. 

President Obama is under no obligation of any kind - in spite of media complaints - to attend an outdoors "unity rally" in a showing of solidarity with the French people.  This is a photo op.  And it's absolutely embarrassing to have Mahmoud Abbas from the Palestinian Authority at an anti-terrorism event in Paris. 

In Sweden, muslim gangs have taken control of between 55 to 186 "no-go" zones where Swedish police dare not tread for threat of violence.  Organized crime is taking hold in these areas.  Police were recently chasing a suspect into one of the no-go areas.  Their car was rammed by muslims and a gang of up to 50 muslims surrounded the police.  They were forced to leave.  In 2013, muslims rioted and burned hundreds of cars, even buildings.  These no-go zones tend to be minority zones in larger cities.

New Thoughts on Debate

I have said that I am willing to debate any liberal but I imagine I am more likely to debate a NeoGAF liberal than an SA liberal.  I'll discuss why in a moment (I would still debate an SA liberal, but the intial response is not promising).  I am sure there are competent American liberals somewhere on SomethingAwful.com, but I have yet to hear from any.

There is a disparity in the responses from the two websites.  NeoGAF's topics actually discuss politics whereas SA's topics tend to be a litany of complaints and jokes that stopped being funny to anyone who reached a fifth grade education.

F.A.Q.

Q:  Doesn't a website have the right to ban anyone for any reason?

This is 21st century America, and American culture places an intrinsic value on debate and free expression.  These members are also guests of these websites, and have contributed to their success or continuity by visiting there.

Q:  What is the main audience of this website?

There are two audiences, members of NeoGAF and SomethingAwful.  NeoGAF is a gaming website, while SomethingAwful is best described as a black comedy website.  "Which side is the majority audience" can move from week to week.

Q:  Which of the two websites is less transparent?

It's actually not a difficult question to answer.  There are no protections of any kind for NeoGAF members.  Even after waiting 6 months for activation, an account can be deleted for any reason and no one except the poster would ever know.  SomethingAwful is transparent in a positive way among websites on the internet because anyone can read the ban list and decide for themselves whether a ban was fair.  It appears that SA admins need to approve bans.  I have no idea if SA admins ever decline a ban recommendation from a moderator, but it at least creates the appearance of checks. 

Another plus on the SA side of the aisle is that the overwhelming majority of bans are just probations, whereas I would imagine that 50% or so of bans at NeoGAF are permanent bans for ridiculous reasons.

Q:  Is that an endorsement of SA?

Not in the slightest.  If the three Paris terrorists had been regularly posting at SA, they would have been treated better than I was by the SA staff.

Q:  Which set of members is scarier?

I think people have to be out of their minds to attend an SA meetup.

Q:  Why does the Preamble or Campaign post always show up as today's post?

I consider the Preamble post to be more important or the most important, and blog posts are generally viewed in reverse chronological order. 

Q:  How often do you plan to update IronKnuckle 2016?

Anywhere from daily to twice a week. 

Q:  What is the idea behind the debate?

I am looking to debate a liberal on any topics.  This person would preferably be an American and be able to express themselves without the use of profanity.  The debate would be 60 to 90 minutes on the internet.  I would probably need a moderator and someone to review questions.  Not many people agree with the Democrats on most issues but it probably wouldn't help to debate someone who couldn't agree with the Democrats on at least a few issues.

Q:  Why can't I can't read your older posts?  My browser is redirected to the front page.

A redirect code was added to the "NeoGAF fail" post, in light that about 800+ visitors from NeoGAF were looking at that specific post.  I felt it was important for them to see the front page.  You can access older posts by clicking through the Blog Archive > 2014 > December on the right hand side.  I will probably turn off the redirect in a week or so.  If you are being redirected to the main page, it's means the HTML is actually working properly. 

Q:  Isn't it harder to moderate a thread since the Bible says that being gay is immoral?

The NeoGAF staff has also banned people for simply saying that they are opposed to sex changes.

Q:  Aren't you wasting your time?

How many people have been posting on these websites for years, who have either not expressed their views out of fear, or who have been banned for doing so? 

Q:  Why did you disable commenting on IronKnuckle 2016?

Because similar to the 2012 cycle, one commenter appears to be using multiple nicknames to express himself.  

Q:  Can you prove to me in one sentence that NeoGAF has a liberal bias?

Bill Maher said the other night that hundreds of millions of muslims support an attack like the one in France. 

People have been banned for saying less at NeoGAF.  If he had made that comment on NeoGAF itself, he would have been gone; in fact, the admins would have bragged about banning him the way they did with Dennis Dyack. 

Q:  Can you prove to me in one sentence that SomethingAwful has a liberal bias?

There is no shortage of people who will stick up for Iran in any thread about the Middle East, and you can be put on probation or banned for challenging them.

Q:  And the difference is?

For instance, I was able to argue at great length against the Occupy Wall Street protesters on their own website back while OWS was still in protest mode. 

Q:  What other biases are at play?

NeoGAF's moderators allow Sodom and Gomorrah style threads where the authors express sympathy for pedophiles.  One such poster lamented that pedophiles should be called "pedosexuals" instead because it would engender more sympathy.  NeoGAF banned four posters for expressing outrage at the despicable behavior committed by these offenders, and that these threads were still open.  Thomas Jefferson once signed a law to have homosexuals castrated; he would have been banned at NeoGAF for expressing these views.

NeoGAF is accused of a pro-Sony or an anti-Xbox bias in its moderation on almost a daily basis now (note: I am not saying they're right, just that I hear it almost everyday).  Both SA and NeoGAF show a bias against Americans even though both sites have an American origin.

The Time Has Come To Stop Muslim Immigration, Cold

January 7, 2015:  In Paris, three masked men attack the office of a satirical magazine, killing 12 people including persons not associated with the magazine.  The shooters, aided by French gun laws that made it difficult for law-abiding French citizens to own guns, shouted typical muslim chants such as "Allah Akbar" on the way out the door.  Even as you read this, media across the world are replaying the misinformation that they were "Al Qaeda in Yemen;" in fact, the suspects are French nationals who immigrated or whose families immigrated from muslim countries.

April 15, 2013:  In Boston, Tamerlan and Dzokhar Tsarnev set off two pressure cooker explosives in the middle of a marathon, killing 3 people and injuring more than 200 people.  People lost limbs and many have been disabled for life.  Once again, American gun control laws mattered nothing to these outlaws.  Neither had a permit and one of them - under the age of 21 - was too young to legally own a gun even if he had a permit. 

September 11, 2012:  In Benghazi, muslim extremists attacked an American diplomatic building with rocket-propelled grenades and assault rifles, killing the US ambassador and three others, and wounding 11 others.  This occurred after 234 known security breaches in the year leading up to the attack, and significant US intelligence information that the building faced the risk of attack. 

March 23, 2003:  A United States army sergeant, Hasan Akbar, threw four hand grenades at his fellow soldiers and fired his M4 rifle, murdering two and injuring 14.  Akbar's father had converted to islam while in prison.  Akbar and his mother both converted to islam.  During Akbar's court-martial, he was uncuffed to allow him to use the restroom.  As he was uncuffed, he stabbed the military police officer in the neck. 

I can go on.  You know I can go on.  In fact, there were more attacks in France just last month.  If this were the Middle Ages, they'd be driven out of Europe with swords.  Instead, the Swedish police can't enter 150 different areas of their own country because the imminent risk of violence posed by muslim extremists. 

Here's something else the mainstream media has not pointed out:  France was against the 2003 Iraq War.  What good did it do them?

Liberal Media Whitewashes Today's Attacks

The New York Times has a very respectable piece on today's attack in Paris, while CNN and MSNBC avoid the terms "muslim" and "islam" to the point that you would learn nothing from reading these pieces.  Similarly, the ABC piece is useless.  CBS, however, got it right.  The BBC does not use the word "islam" until the 5th paragraph and you would think from some of these headlines that this was a random police case.

My predictions in how the liberals will get this wrong:

- World leaders such as Angela Merkel will call for calm.  In other words, ignorance.

- "Human Rights Watch" and other phony human rights organizations will label anyone who calls for the end of muslim immigration to the west a "hate group."

- NeoGAF atheist types will have posters comparing the shooters to religious Christians.

- The media will print any muslim group that calls itself a religion of peace and condemns the terror attacks. 

Mind you that Rolling Stone featured one of the boston muslim terrorists in fashion recently.

This should not be treated as another opportunity to give the microphone to these people.

I Challenge Liberals to Debate Me

10 topics dealing with politics, roughly 60 to 90 minutes long, on IRC or elsewhere.  For instance, the topics might consist of any of the following:

- National Security

- The Federal Budget

- The Financial Crisis of 2008

- The Iraq War

These are some ideas.  

I previously debated on television.  A radicalist liberal group planned to crash the debate with their own protest.  I was tipped off that they were planning a stunt the night before.  I called the radical leader on the phone and he started crying on the phone, saying that "you Republicans are so mean."

I was so obsessed with persecuting them that I even hunted them down in foreign cities.

“On one of these journeys I was going to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests. About noon, King Agrippa, as I was on the road, I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, blazing around me and my companions. We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’

“Then I asked, ‘Who are you, Lord?’

“ ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,’ the Lord replied. ‘Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. “So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven. First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds. That is why some Jews seized me in the temple courts and tried to kill me. But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.”

At this point Festus interrupted Paul’s defense. “You are out of your mind, Paul!” he shouted. “Your great learning is driving you insane.”

“I am not insane, most excellent Festus,” Paul replied. “What I am saying is true and reasonable. The king is familiar with these things, and I can speak freely to him. I am convinced that none of this has escaped his notice, because it was not done in a corner. King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know you do.”

Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?”

Paul replied, “Short time or long—I pray to God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains.”

The king rose, and with him the governor and Bernice and those sitting with them. After they left the room, they began saying to one another, “This man is not doing anything that deserves death or imprisonment.”

Agrippa said to Festus, “This man could have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.”

Liberals Lose Senate, Ask for Tissue

So the Democrats lost the Senate and now NeoGAF has decided that "democracy just doesn't work" and the "founding fathers ****ed up."  The thread goes on to discuss meritocracy, the idea that intelligent people should prescribe what is best, without realizing that the Democratic Party is largely supported by blacks and hispanics, the two demographic groups with the highest high school and college dropout rates.  You can't have affirmative action in a meritocracy.

Update Jan 24th for context:  "Read that guy's post about minorities and liberals."  It's not my post, it's your post.  NeoGAF had a thread about meritocracy.  I'm saying you can't support a meritocracy and have college dropouts voting at the same time. 

Besides, in a meritocracy, anyone who supports the discredited theory that humans evolved from monkeys should be barred from voting. 

The thread continues with a poster saying that making a cash contribution to a political campaign should be punishable by death.  So evidently they don't support the Bill of Rights either.

Another poster reiterated the myth that both political parties are sponsored by Goldman Sachs.  According to OpenSecrets, Goldman Sachs was involved with just $4 million in donations in the 2014 election cycle (and while not even, the breakdown of donations was unremarkable).  CNN noted that Goldman Sachs was the biggest contributor to Obama in 2008, but these numbers are not convincing. 

They claim that Sweden and Switzerland must have better democracies, since crime is lower.  There is a simpler explanation.  In 2013, the FBI reported that 52.4% of the homicides of the United States were committed by a minority group making up just 12% of the population.

Also, are they ignoring the news stories about the muslim migrants fighting with Swedish police?

Another poster claims that democracy would work better if every politician were a scientist.  Wrong, since it is unlikely that you can find many "scientists" at NeoGAF who will admit publicly that global winter-time temperatures have been falling over the past 20 years.

One poster redeems the thread by saying, "That explains why the United States has been so unsuccessful over the last two hundred and forty years... wait..."

Sex Change is a Despicable Act

How many of these liberals in office have even a prayer's chance of setting foot in heaven?  Abortion.  Gay marriage.  Divorce.  Attacking the pledge of allegiance, ten commandments, "In God We Trust," et al. 

Like the NeoGAF thread on "speak up against transgender discrimination."  The word discrimination means incrimination in error.  The word prejudice means having judged the matter beforehand, falsely.  It's not in error.  Having a sex change is a despicable act. 

1 Corinthians 6:  "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind."

This contains prohibitions on both homosexuality and on transgender behavior ("effeminate").  A man is supposed to act like a man.  A woman is supposed to act like a woman.

Stop right there.  God Himself says that a person who curses their parents shall die.  Then it says:
  • "When I was 14, I learned what transgender meant and cried of happiness." 
This actually supports the conservative argument, going back years, that there is a slippery slope to accepting gay rights.  IF he had accepted his gender, rather than being encouraged by gay activists, he might have elected a better path.

NO man deserves a relationship with a transgender person.  Remember how we have sex offenders register so their community can be warned?  We should do that with sex changers also.

When Jerry Springer puts a sex-changer on his TV show and they say "I used to be a man," does the audience not immediately know that they're supposed to be shocked? 

By the way, he could have gotten the truck driver killed, jailed, sued, or fired from his job. 

You cannot legislate a human right in the eyes of God.

Antonio Martin

As I discussed in my previous post, blacks committed 52% of the homicides in the United States while making up just 12% of the population.

Who is Antonio Martin?  Armed robbery.  Three counts of assault.  Unlawful use of a weapon.  He was even expelled from school.  And that was before he pointed a gun at a police officer in Berkeley.  Today, these people have barely stopped short of asking for high schools to be named after Antonio Martin.  And while the press coverage isn't quite as one-sided as the Michael Brown case, it's still lacking in context.

I couldn't make up a story like this if I wanted to; the depths that these "civil rights" or "black lives matter" protesters have gone to is simply incredible.

And anyone who knows me would understand that I would rather spend every blog post talking about the evils of homosexuality and how this is opposed by God.  So the fact that I'm talking about Antonio Martin here means something.

The media is sending a message to blacks that if you want to be become a civil rights hero, go point a gun at a police officer and get shot.
